The State Labor Inspectorate (or Rostrud) protects the rights of workers and the interests of employers. It exercises supervision and control in the field of labor legislation. What exactly are its responsibilities:

accept complaints from citizens concerning labor rights;
provide advice on legislative matters;
conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of employers;
check working conditions at the production site;
monitor social payments to the unemployed;
resolve collective labor disputes.
