Happiness and success

Post by jrineak.t.er0.1 »

Happiness and success . These are the two words that most people tend to think or say when they ask themselves what they want to achieve in life, what their goals and desires are… Desires that faithfully reflect one of the maxims of Al Ries (an internationally renowned guru and author of the book “The Origin of Brands”): “in life there are only two things worth fighting for: success and happiness.”

When asked what our goals in life are , we usually respond first with the desire to be happy. Happiness is and has been the main concern and goal of men and women of any race, place or religion.

Surely we all know someone who we can label as "happy", that is, someone who enjoys what they do , who is usually in a good mood, in short, someone who is happy and botswana email list satisfied with their life. To be happy, it is essential that a person is able to create a positive attitude in their own mind, that is, to have a good feeling, to be comfortable with themselves, to have good levels of self-esteem.

There is a saying that says “ happiness is nothing more than doing what you want to do and wanting to do what you do.” However, in my opinion, many of the people we consider “happy” are not usually successful, they do not earn a particularly good living, they do not enjoy a comfortable financial situation, nor do they enjoy great prestige or personal recognition.

Secondly, after happiness, human beings are concerned (or at least that is what most studies indicate) with success. Almost all of us love to achieve great results, whether on a personal level, in studies, in sport, in love… It is scientifically proven that success is one of the most hedonic sensations, the one that gives the most pleasure to human beings.

Surely, we all know people whom we consider successful in a certain field , people who clearly and notably stand out in a specific discipline or subject. I dare say that many of these people are not very happy. Surely we all know really brilliant and successful people who have not been able to transfer this brilliance and success to other levels of their life, even leading them to serious problems (family, depression...) that have hindered their full happiness.

To be successful, it is not enough to be the best in a discipline, but it is essential that the person in question is able to create a positive attitude in the minds of others. As Al Ries himself would say, "you cannot make yourself successful, other people must make you successful."

But let's not kid ourselves, the hard part is finding people who can be happy and successful at the same time . Analyzing these types of people, the few who are able to combine success and happiness, I have realized that almost all of them have a very powerful personal brand that has been carefully worked on for a long time. We are dealing with happy people because they know themselves very well, because they dedicate themselves to what they really like and because they carry out those tasks in which they are truly competent and which allow them to contribute more value to society.
