Living From A Blog: Is It Difficult? When Do You Start Living From?

Is it difficult to make a living from a blog?
It is complicated, since from our experience, NOT living off a blog, but generating "some" recurring income each month, implies having patience and being as consistent as possible .
Now imagine how to reach a sufficient amount of money to be able to live: it is quite hard work and a long road to travel.
Although it should be clear: this can become much "easier and faster" ( it also requires time and effort ) if you know what to do from the beginning and also how to do it .
But… what makes a blog difficult to monetize for a beginner? I would say the following:
You don't know SEO : how to generate traffic to your blog from search engines like Google
You don't know about the quality of the visits : for example, if you want to generate income with affiliate commissions, you should start creating content close to hiring that product/service you are affiliated with.
He doesn't know how to create pieces that retain : he publishes for the sake of publishing without taking into account that the reader must be hooked as much as possible, and lead to an action (such as visiting another post)
You don't choose a good revenue strategy - for example, you could make more money by selling a service, but instead, you display ads from advertising platforms
There are probably more reasons, but I consider these to be relevant to know.
Now, as we saw in the statistics at the beginning, there are bloggers who earn a good amount of money, so we should not believe that it is impossible to make a living from blogging .
Like many things in life, it's about following a strategy .
Since when do you start making a living from a blog?
From the moment you earn the money that covers your needs and expenses .
And that income does not necessarily have to come from one source, since there are several that together could generate a salary:
Advertising on your blog (e.g. Google AdSense)
Sales of own products or services
Affiliate Marketing
Subscriptions or memberships (exclusive content)
Collaborations with brands
Sale of direct advertising spaces
Audience donations

“It's easy to make money quickly” : false, the blog is a medium/long term project

Truths:
"Consistency is key" : If you publish some months and not others, your blog probably won't grow as you'd like.
“It takes time to build an audience” – It takes time to build trust, attract visitors and get them to become loyal followers
"Diversifying income is important" : depending on just one source would not be very appropriate, because if it falls, you go down.
«SEO is important to gain traffic» : and it is a good way to get them, because they are «free»
