The balance between work and family is a daily battle between workers and employers in many of the SMEs in our country. Aware of this problem, Sage has prepared a study that clearly and pleasantly reflects the different opinions on the subject, which vary depending on the sex of the person surveyed.

The Sage Observatory is responsible for carrying out surveys and studies that serve to understand the reality of Spanish companies.

Sage's X-ray of SMEs turks and caicos islands email list has been a benchmark in our country for five years with regard to the opinion of Spanish SMEs on socio-laboral and socio-economic aspects and the use of ICT in their companies.

Although, in terms of social and labour, the objective of any advanced society must tend towards the reconciliation of work and family life , the reality shows that this is still a pending issue in many Spanish SMEs, although the majority opinion, as reflected in the Sage X-ray of SMEs and in this infographic, is in favour of the reconciliation between work and family.

It is important to take into account the stability that a worker can achieve by being able to balance his professional life with his family life, something that will surely result in greater motivation and well-being for the worker, whereas if a worker has problems achieving this balance, his mood and personal problems can have a negative impact on his work relationships.

Some relevant data are:

The balance between family and work is supported by the majority, but more by women than by men.
The oldest companies are the ones that are most in favour of work-life balance ; experience helps companies to be aware of the importance of work-life balance.
There are still many companies where people work more than 40 hours a week .
Mobile devices help with work-life balance , but 50% of respondents believe that they need to be turned off on time.
Women value family life more and work fewer hours in companies than men.
In any case, companies should not value the number of hours a person is in a job, but rather the quality of the time dedicated to it , since more work can be done in fewer hours if a worker is motivated to finish his work to be with his family.
