Playful features that we’re sure

iOS 18.2 also brings a new batch of AI features to everyone, including those who have been using Apple Intelligence in the US for the past month. You can now create custom emoji based on prompts right from the keyboard (Apple calls them Genmoji), and there’s Image Playground for generating AI images. Both are fun, will prove popular with customers who haven’t yet experienced GenAI.
There's also GPT Chat integration, which further expands Siri's 2024 updated phone number list from worldwide knowledge. When you ask Siri a question it can't answer, you'll have the option to search through GPT Chat without leaving the Siri interface. Apple is keen to point out that GPT Chat integration can be disabled, and that you don't need to sign in to an account if you'd rather not. If GPT Chat integration is disabled, the option simply won't appear.

iPhone 16 users will have access to Visual Intelligence through Camera Control. This is a new way to search with the camera – for example, if you see a product you like but don’t know what it is, Visual Intelligence will use the camera to search and hopefully find it.
You can also ask Apple Intelligence questions through the camera, scan QR codes, summarize text (on a whiteboard, for example), and translate text.
It's important to note that this isn't the final set of Apple Intelligence features for iOS 18, with some, including a broader overhaul of Siri, comin.
