Post by batasakas »

Today, Google is introducing a new section of the Ukraine Nearby project on Google Arts & Culture, inviting everyone to explore a unique collection that reveals the richness of Ukrainian culture, art, and history to the world. For the first time, all this is gathered on one platform, providing free access to the treasures of Ukrainian museums for users around the world, and the online format of the project allows you to explore and see in a short time what would take days or even weeks in real life.

“Ukraine Nearby” on Google Arts & Culture is a long-term initiative to digitize and share Ukraine’s vibrant cultural history, which has expanded significantly since it was first introduced two years ago.

Through a partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, Ukraine House, Skeiron, and the best Ukrainian museums, such as the National Museum of History of Ukraine, the Museum ghana phone number resource of Decorative Arts of Ukraine, the Lviv Historical Museum, and many others, the Ukraine Nearby project offers an innovative and exciting way to explore authentic stories about Ukrainian heritage.

“At a time when Ukraine is experiencing the most difficult trials, our culture remains our strength and inspiration. The “Ukraine Nearby” project on Google Arts & Culture gives everyone the opportunity to discover outstanding Ukrainians who have glorified our land throughout the world: Mykola Leontovych, Solomiya Krushelnytska, Maria Pryimachenko, Kateryna Bilokur and many others. Today, when the Russian occupiers are trying to destroy our heritage, this project is especially important. It not only preserves Ukrainian culture, but also popularizes it in the world. So let's open the world the beauty of Ukraine together – its art, history and traditions, because it is in them that our strength and identity lie.”

Anastasia Bondar, Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization:

"The Ukraine Nearby project is not only an opportunity to present the wealth of our cultural heritage to the world, but also an important step in preserving it for future generations. In times of war, when many monuments and artifacts are under threat, their digitization takes on special importance. Thanks to modern technologies, we can preserve our culture and history, despite all the challenges of today, and pass it on to descendants as an invaluable treasure of the Ukrainian people. At the same time, the project overcomes geographical and time barriers, allowing people from all over the world to touch the rich history and art of Ukraine."
