Japanese company Casio has introduced a furry robotic toy called Moflin. The novelty is designed to reduce stress in its owner: it can be held and hugged, and in return it establishes an emotional connection with the user.
When Moflin is picked up, she begins to move her head and greece phone number library body, as if trying to snuggle up to her owner. Artificial intelligence helps the toy recognize the person who uses her the most, based on her manner of address and voice, and use sounds and movements to show her special attitude towards her.
The device also develops and even changes feelings and character over time. If you interact with it often, it begins to show signs of happiness and peace. But if you ignore the toy, it will show sadness and anxiety. You can understand what mood Moflin is in through the mobile application. Through it, you can adjust the volume of the "pet"'s sounds.
A small bed serves as a charger for the toy. The battery lasts for five hours of operation, and it takes three and a half hours to recharge.
The Moflin is available in peach and gray colors and will go on sale on November 7th for 59,400 Japanese yen (about $400).
