Facts and lists. We love them. So here’s another update of interesting facts and figures about social media use, this time from the UK. What’s the most popular social media platform here? And how many tweets are sent worldwide every day?
Meltwater collected statistics on social media usage in the UK and bundled them into the (short) infographic below. It turns out that Facebook is the most popular social media platform here. Facebook is in the lead with 79 percent, followed by Twitter (47 percent) and Instagram (41 percent). Pinterest (36 percent) and LinkedIn (33 percent) complete the top 5.
Every day, 500 million tweets are published worldwide and 400 million Instagram Stories phone number list users are active. But that's not all. According to figures from Hubspot, Twitter posts that consist of a video are retweeted 6 times more often than posts that contain a photo. Videos posted on Facebook are shared more often than videos posted on YouTube.
