Gale and Katniss join the stream of refugees i

Post by rosebaby3892 »

Once cleverly disguised as fashion bloggers, n ridiculously flashy outfits from the Capitol, and make their way to the palace, which is now only 200 meters away, the script having magically brought it there. Except that: guards at the entrance to the palace check people's faces, and some push through the crowd to remove hoods (they have the same laws as in France on the subject; the Capitol is really nasty). But just as a guard is about to remove Katniss's hood...

…yes, there is a deus ex machina . Does that still surprise you?

A rocket explodes nearby: the rebels are attacking! Because yes: we see a group of about 300 heavily armed rebels, 50 meters away, that no one had noticed! Isn't it fabulous? It looks like contemporary theater, so much nonsense. So the battle begins, during which the Capitol men are cut to pieces in the middle of civilians who run in all directions screaming. Gale and Katniss are quickly buy phone number list separated, and Gale is captured in the process, because obviously, in the middle of a battle, the Capitol troops are mainly interested in arresting people. Normal.

But the fighting abruptly calms down when a Capitol hovercraft flies over the entire column of refugees and drops... small parachute packages. Just like during the Hunger Games.

People raise their hands to grab them, but just as they do... the packages explode in their faces. Causing a number of casualties. Katniss struggles to her feet after these explosions, shocked by the sight of a Capitol plane bombing its own civilians, then suddenly sees dozens of rebel medics coming out from everywhere to help the wounded. Oh really, because all the rebel medics were on the front lines? Aren't the armed rebels supposed to arrive first, or at worst, at the same time? No: the medics arrive first. They were probably running unarmed ahead of their friends. Still, among them, Katniss recognizes a young nurse: her own sister Prim! Bending over a wounded woman.

Katniss's brain then remembers something from earlier in the film: the principle of the double explosion. One to cause carnage, the other to kill the doctors.

“  Priiiiiiiiiim!  ” she yells to her sister.

But it's too late: other bombs explode, transforming Prim into heat (but not light, that's a fact) instantly and sending Katniss flying, who lands on the ground, unconscious, her entire torso on fire...

So the girl can wake up, but yes, in the hospital!

“Holy shit, three times in the same movie!” she groans, seeing her mother tending to her burned chest (but not her face, it’s flawless, those bombs know how to aim). Do you think you’re in John Carter?
“Sorry, darling. And by the way, Prim is dead. But… the war is over.
” “Excuse me?
” “Yes. Over. When the bombing of the civilians took place, the guards themselves refused to defend Snow. They joined the rebels, and the palace fell. That’s it. That’s it.”

Katniss is a little shocked. But obviously, despite serious burns on 2/3 of her body, poof, she's better, thank you, good evening, and is invited for reasons that completely escape me to go and live in... Snow's old palace. Oh no, but I'm not looking anymore, eh. And it's while walking there that she discovers guards in the gardens around a greenhouse. She is told (since she hadn't thought to ask) that it is the prison of the former President Snow, and Katniss goes in, to visit her old enemy. Who is all sick and coughing up blood after years of drinking poison to immunize himself as best he can (I mainly think he tried to pronounce "  propacl...  " grmbl... blllg... I'll be back. There, my apologies).
