Faces of LINK: Luis Cabrera – Senior Controller Manager

Post by zihadhosenjm06 »

Any Linker in Spain would agree that the finance department at LINK Mobility Spain stands out for being a fun team, with a strong sense of camaraderie and a great attitude inside and outside the office. Much of this is thanks to a key person, Luis Cabrera , who has been working in the accounting department of the company for more than 6 years and who currently serves as Senior Controller Manager in Spain .

Although his role within LINK is related to numbers, he complements it with a hobby that will surprise more than one.

We have prepared this interview to get to know him better, list of canada whatsapp phone numbers his daily life and discover how he combines his responsibilities at LINK with this peculiar activity.

1.- What is your role at LINK Mobility and how would you describe your daily routine?
Currently, my role is Senior Controller Manager at LINK Mobility Spain. My day-to-day task is to organize and guide all the people who handle the numerical part in Spain so that everything is balanced at the end of the month.

I could describe my day at LINK as an “intense” challenge, where unexpected things always happen and many times I am predisposed to do certain tasks that in the end new challenges arise and I end up doing everything except what I had planned.

2.- What do you enjoy most about working at Link?
What I enjoy most is the people. I think the most valuable thing about LINK right now is the people, the collaboration that exists both inside and outside the office. Also, all the people who pass through the company. I still keep in touch with people who no longer work here, who were part of Link's journey. The best thing is the affection and the relationship that is maintained over time.

3.- It is known in the office that besides doing magic with numbers you are a magician in your free time. Tell us a little more about that.
It all started by chance, about 14 years ago, when I came across a video on YouTube of a magic trick that left me amazed. Curiosity prompted me to try it myself, and I realized that besides being something I liked, I was good at it. Without the need to attend formal classes, I developed my skills through books and videos. Although at first, I took it as a distraction where I could show my skills to those closest to me, such as family and friends, I soon ventured into doing events with more people. I took it more seriously at a time when I was out of work and the truth is that it turned out pretty well. I was lucky that during my first few months I had a full schedule, but I'm not that bad.

Nowadays, I collaborate with centers, schools or through word of mouth recommendations to put on shows. I have performed at the Houdini hall and organized my own events, where I was fortunate to have some colleagues and ex-colleagues from LINK as spectators .

How do you combine your LINK activities with magic and do you think there is any relationship between these two activities?
Juggling both activities is easy for me, as events are usually held on weekends, which means no time conflicts. The key is to make sure it doesn't interfere with crucial days in my work at LINK. For events that fall on weekdays, I take vacation days to ensure a proper balance between both responsibilities.

One thing that both activities have in common, even though they may seem unrelated, is the bonds that they create with people. I like to make a very clear distinction between Luis Cabrera and El Mago Luigi, I am two completely different characters in each place.

4.- Do you have any upcoming shows in mind?
I plan to organize the next show between May and June. Like last year, I will rent a small theater for about 40 or 50 people. I am still planning it, defining the setup, script and structure. In a way, it is like preparing a film, a series or a book, which involves telling a story and planning in detail all the elements that surround it.
