One of the channels for promoting the trading platform for collectibles and antiques is the Telegram forum. This is a channel made in the form of a forum with subsections on "second-hand books", "numismatics" and other narrowly focused topics.
The client regularly launches advertising campaigns to attract new customers and actively develops the channel. In order to increase sales and improve engagement rates, it was decided to hold a no-lose contest with subscribers receiving a promo code for an order placed on the website.
Finding a solution
We offered two chatbot scenarios to choose from:
Competition with a post
The bot monitors the comments in a specific post and gives a promo code to everyone who guessed the hidden word and wrote it in the comments.
Competition with activity
The bot counts the activity of subscribers (comments and reactions) and on a certain day selects winners by the number of activities. Then the winners are sent messages with promo codes in private messages.
Since the client's goal is to attract as many new customers to the site as possible, it was decided to choose a contest with activity. It has a lower entry threshold: anyone can handle leaving reactions or comments, unlike a contest to guess a word.
