Current trends in email marketing 2017

Post by Raihan145 »

Some marketers have long abandoned e-mail newsletters and practically do not remember this marketing tool, but in vain. Three components are important for e-mail marketing at all times: the right message sent at the right time to the right address. The closer a marketer is to fulfilling these three conditions, the closer he is to success. So what e-mail marketing trends should you remember in 2017?

Personalized mailings. Perhaps the company's mass mailings work linkedin database like clockwork, bring tangible results and remain quite effective in terms of sales. This does not mean that you should stand still and not master such a tool as personalized trigger mailings. Where to get personal data? Firstly, from the subscription (registration) form. Secondly, from the CRM system data (customer behavior on the site, their latest actions, customer type, average check). And finally, from the so-called feedback: when the letter was sent, when it was opened by the recipient, on what days of the week and at what time the user most often views the sent letters, which opened letters led to an additional visit to the advertiser's site, what electronic devices the client uses, and so on. Having analyzed all the above data, you can move on to personalization. Let's look at simple examples from the practice of online stores.

The most common example of personalization is abandoned cart letters: the buyer studied the products on the site, added some of them to the cart, but at the last moment did not make a purchase. A letter that arrives half an hour or an hour later can remind a potential buyer about the products that he or she liked. Similar letters can be sent to the user on the topic of products added to the wish list. Another example of personalization in e-mail marketing is letters with selections of recommended products for a specific user, such selections are based on the analysis of consumer preferences.
Adaptation to the mobile segment. Almost all websites are now created adaptive, which means that advertisers want to take care of those users who will view their resource from a mobile device - a smartphone or tablet. The design of e-mail newsletters should also follow this principle. Simplicity, minimalism, reproducibility on any type of gadget - all these qualities distinguish a quality newsletter.
