Last Sunday, May 3, Mother's Day arrived, as it does every year, and with it, a host of email marketing campaigns where brands deployed all their tactics and strategies to ensure that their products became the gift their subscribers would buy. However, this year in a quite different context than in previous years.

In this post we want to show you two campaigns that caught our attention and that we believe are clear examples of creativity and knowing how to adapt to the current situation . Both have one thing in common: the great power that the GIF they have implemented gives them .

Clinique and its contest
Cosmetics brand Clinique organized a contest on Instagram mexico mobile phone number list for this special date. To promote it, they created this email campaign that you can see below:
I don't know if you'll agree with us, but we find the GIF they used at the top of the email to be really creative and original. It compiles phrases that we've heard our mothers say more than once. In fact, this very GIF is what gives life not only to the campaign, but to the contest itself , since the user must choose the phrase they feel most identified with. As we can see, everything revolves around it.

The email also describes the steps that the subscriber must follow to participate in the contest and finally, they are directed to the brand's Instagram.

Spreading the word about the competition via email is a good opportunity to encourage subscribers who are not followers of Clinique on this social network to follow it . Therefore, this campaign is also a clear example of how to have good communication between channels .

Decathlon as a clear example of adaptation to the current context
Decathlon chose to create a very successful Mother's Day campaign , 100% adapted to the current situation and which we already had to deal with last Father's Day.

In this case, the main character is once again the GIF used at the top of the email, which is made up of a collection of beautiful images of mothers and children sharing moments. It is accompanied by a message that, as we said, is fully adapted to the current confinement situation and is very cleverly linked to sport. The result? A highly emotional gif and campaign:

Mom, it doesn't matter if the court is shorter now, if the waves are in the garden or if we have to walk a little further apart. It doesn't matter if the living room is your new gym, the important thing is that we continue to share moments together. Today's applause goes to you, moms.
