Smirnoff advertising returns after two decades of withdrawal

Diageo-owned vodka brand Smirnoff has once again gone all-in on advertising . It is launching its first global campaign in 25 years with a spectacular campaign that looks back at the brand's century-old history. A story of exile, secrecy and rebellion .

"Infamous since 1864"
The title could not be more revealing: Infamous since 1864. And the history of Smirnoff since its birth has not been easy.

In fact, the advert begins with a scene in which the Russian ecuador number screening authorities enter one of the brand's distilleries and one of the employees manages to escape and save the formula for the drink. The story, with cinematic overtones and a very appropriate soundtrack, goes on to recount episodes of the Prohibition in the United States, France in the 1960s, contemporary Hollywood and even ends up in prison. The one-minute spot is a work by the 72andSunny New York agency directed by Rupert Sanders (the director behind Snow White, among others). It will be a 360 campaign with presence in audiovisual media, outdoor, press, digital media and social networks. After its premiere in Europe, it will be exported to the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Kenya.
