From anonymity to stardom: 41% of ordinary people think they have the makings of an influencer

The profession of influencer is not only within the reach of a privileged few and a large part of the population considers itself perfectly suited to the job of fashion. According to a recent study carried out in the United States by YouTube Shorts and OnePoll , 41% of people have at some point considered taking the plunge into content creation. And almost a third of those surveyed even boast of having achieved the coveted virality on the network of networks at some point.
The main reasons that motivate ordinary japan phone number data people to consider becoming an influencer are money (39%) , the possibility of sharing their passions with other people (37%), being professionally independent (35%) and fame (30%).
58% of people also believe that content creation is a real profession and should therefore be considered as seriously as any other field of activity.
Yet 56% of consumers view content creation as a hobby first and foremost (even if it can earn them a decent salary).
“We’re seeing creators from all walks of life exploring content creation as a career because it’s a great opportunity to build a business by tapping into their own passions,” said Tiffany Matloob, global head of creator community partnerships at YouTube Shorts. “Content creation opens the door for anyone who has a story or a skill they’d like to share with the world ,” she added.
