Amazon continues its fight against counterfeit products and stops the sale of more than three million

Amazon says it has made significant progress in combating the sale of counterfeit goods on its platform. Last year, for example, more than three million such items were removed , according to a report published by the giant.

In 2020, Amazon was able to screen more than two million counterfeit products sent to the group's logistics centres. The newspaper points out that this is one of the reasons why the number of attempts blocked by Amazon to register a new business account has dropped from 6 to 2.6 million in one year.

Among other things, Amazon offers companies affected by product piracy the option to register and report violations of their trademark rights.

According to Amazon, more than 700,000 brands participated in the program last year , up from more than 500,000 in 2020. At the same time, they reported a quarter fewer violations on average, which the company attributes to the success of its proactive measures.
