If your phone gets warm from time to time, especially in hot weather, there is nothing to worry about: electronic devices always generate heat. But what if it heats up to a hot, almost red-hot body several times a day? Let's figure it out.

Where does the heat come from?

If the smartphone heats up around the charger, the problem may be in the charger. If it is of poor quality or categorically does not fit the smartphone according to technical parameters, it will overheat.

If the screen or speaker heats up, they may be damaged: the phone should be checked by a technician. If this is not done, it may soon switch off completely.

Five Main Causes of Overheating

Long-term intensive use: If you spend hours playing online games or streaming videos on your smartphone, its CPU and GPU will be overloaded — and the phone will heat up.
Hot weather. Heat and direct sunlight overheat the battery and have the same negative effect on it as extremely low temperatures. In the heat, the phone overheats and discharges.
Suboptimal settings. If your smartphone doesn't have a very powerful processor, it may be overheating due to too many enabled settings, widgets, and apps. Reduce the number of enabled processes, and the load on it will be less.
Errors when updating applications and software. Sometimes after downloading updates, the phone starts to overheat because the new version of the program had an error, or it turned out to be too overloaded. The battery is used more intensively and heats up faster.
The problem can be solved by rolling back the app version to the previous one or by restoring the phone to factory settings (but don't forget to save all data beforehand).
