Key points of the report
The GoDaddy Digitalization Observatory 2023 was conducted by GoDaddy in collaboration with Advanis. More than 4,800 small business owners in Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, and the United States were sampled for the survey.

The smartphone becomes the most used technological device
In today's digital age, technology is a key ally for the success of small businesses.
From smartphones and computers to more specialized solutions, businesses jamaica business email list are leveraging a wide range of technological devices to improve efficiency and productivity in the workplace.
In this first section, we will explore in detail the devices that small businesses are adopting and how these technological resources have become an essential part of their daily operations.
Globally, the smartphone is the most widely used device in the daily life of small businesses, both by business owners and their employees. This is confirmed by 78% of the companies surveyed.
In Mexico, the data on smartphone use in small businesses exceeds the average. In fact, they lead the list with their use being adopted by 86% of the companies surveyed. Close behind are Singapore (85%) and Colombia (83%).
What devices do companies in Mexico and Colombia use - 2023
The tablet is the least used tool, both globally – only 35% of the companies surveyed use it – and in the case of Spanish businesses. In this case, 42% of Mexican businesses claim to have adopted it in their daily work: a figure above the global average.
In favor of collaboration tools
Efficient collaboration and internal process management are crucial elements for small business success in today's competitive business world.
From project management solutions to real-time communication platforms, small businesses are beginning to embrace technology to promote coordination, productivity and agility in their day-to-day operations.
Globally, data storage or transfer services are the most commonly used tools by small businesses (68%), closely followed by the use of the Internet or internal social networks (67%), shared drives (65%) and video conferencing tools (63%).
To simplify collaboration and internal processes, Mexican SMEs use an intranet or internal social networks at a higher rate than average (82%) and use data storage and transfer services (71%).
In fact, 90% of respondents use or plan to use data storage and transfer services in 2023. Meanwhile, 67% use video conferencing services, while 21% plan to implement them this year.
