What is Big Data and why is it important?

Post by bitheerani93 »

The way we provide services , sell and consume has undergone numerous changes in recent years. Today we can have digital bank accounts, hire specific services through specialized applications in the segment, exchange objects and many other possibilities. All of this has stopped being a simple speculation about what the future would be like and has become part of our reality thanks to one name: Big Data.

Big Data is one of the biggest and most poland mobile database technology trends for the coming years, and it has already achieved great feats, but what exactly is this tool, how does it work and why is it so important? You will learn all about it in today's blog !

What is Big Data?

With all the circulation of services , sales, contacts on social networks and other digital activities, millions of data are generated and circulate on the web every second around the world. The large volume of this flow is what we can call Big Data , one of the most important concepts on the internet today.

Although this concept may seem recent, we can think of it this way: data was already being generated long before computing existed and became what it is today. What sets Big Data apart is the fact that it is now possible to cross-reference this data.

By crossing and analyzing data, it is possible to identify business opportunities and create new platforms, as has been happening in recent years, which is what defines the importance of this concept and why it is so promising.

The 5 V's

The most important principles of Big Data can be divided into 5, all starting with the letter v, thus, these principles are known as the 5 v's. They are:

Volume: The first V refers directly to the immense volume of data that can undergo analysis processing in search of opportunities.

Variety: The greater the variety of data types available for analysis, the better! This makes it easier to come up with good ideas, as you can identify more needs or market opportunities.

Speed: As we already know, data circulates quickly around the world, which ends up being a great challenge, requiring a lot of agility when carrying out processing.

Veracity: Among millions of data, it is no surprise that many of them are not true, knowing how to identify them is essential to avoid any type of deception.

Value: The last V is due to the need to know which data is useful and which will not be of great help in processing. Many of them, despite being true, may not be relevant and therefore not be useful for major analyses.

Now that you know more about the concept of Big Data, how about learning a little more about other topics related to technology? Here on the TND Brasil blog you will find content and interesting facts to help you better understand this universe.
