Between February 27 and March 2, the city of Barcelona became the main stage for the technology industry , on the occasion of the celebration of the Mobile World Congress in its 2023 edition. This forum brought together more than 88,000 attendees from all over the world and featured the participation of some of the most important brands in the industry.
John Hoffman, CEO of the GSMA and organiser of the forum, said that MWC is back in full force after the pandemic period, and said he was “amazed and humbled by the sense of community, innovation, excitement and business generation at MWC”.
The 2023 Mobile World Congress brought a series of technological proposals that promise to revolutionize the technology industry . These include advances towards 6G technology, the expansion of the metaverse, and new technologies based on Artificial Intelligence.
Robots, health rings and more innovations presented at the Mobile World Congress
The Spanish company Alisys brought to the MWC a quadruped robot from the American company Huarts Robotics whose purpose is focused on carrying out security and defence tasks. The company told Europapress that the robot has been designed to carry out missions in places that, given their dangerousness, cannot be carried out by humans.

In 2022, Xiaomi had presented the CyberDog , a quadruped robot that became a milestone for the company. In the 2023 edition, Xiaomi surprised attendees with the CyberOne , a humanoid robot that is now a reality.
The company took advantage of the event to also present its new range of devices, the Xiaomi oman number screening 13 Series , as well as two new products: the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro and the Xiaomi Buds 4 headphones.
Also at Mobile World Congress, the Iris Smart Ring was presented , a smart accessory capable of monitoring health. This ring is capable of measuring biometric data such as heart rate, HRV parameters and blood oxygen level, to identify possible problems or alterations in the health of users.
South Korean telecommunications company SK Telecom has teamed up with startup Joby Aviation to launch a flying taxi. This vehicle will make it possible to shorten journey times in cities with heavy traffic congestion.
For its part, the manufacturer Motorola presented a prototype of a rollable phone. This curious terminal has a flexible OLED panel that would go from 4 inches to 6.5. At the moment, the date of the possible arrival of this terminal to the market is unknown. In addition, Bullitt Group, in collaboration with Motorola Mobility, presented a Bluetooth device that provides satellite connectivity to any iOS or Android smartphone.
