The AEPD will act against OpenAI

Post by tasnimsanika69 »

Artificial intelligence is already being used by many companies and individuals , but it also has some open fronts with those who believe it is dangerous for humanity . Now, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has announced that it will begin "preliminary investigations into the American company OpenAI for a possible breach of regulations ."

There are already countries that have banned the use of artificial intelligence and its tools, as is the case of Italy , but, in addition, there have also been other great figures in the world of science and technology who have shown their rejection of the rapid evolution of AI and its tools .

Billionaire Elon Musk , CEO of Tesla, and other top executives and researchers signed an open letter explaining that research into artificial intelligence and its tools is going too fast , as they believe that AI can be a harmful tool for humanity . For this reason, they asked for research into this new technology to be stopped.

ChatGPT belongs to the company OpenAI, and it is an artificial intelligence tool through which youafghanistan number screening can answer all your questions . It is a chatbot with which you can chat and ask your questions. It stores data up to the year 2021, so its information may not always be up-to-date and accurate.

The AEPD will take action against the company OpenAI "considering that global processing that may have a significant impact on the rights of individuals requires harmonised and coordinated actions at a European level in application of the General Data Protection Regulation," they indicate.

To carry out research on this matter, a group has been created under the name of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), which will include the Spanish Data Protection Agency to take action in response to the advance and great development of artificial intelligence in our lives.

The EDPB was born after a meeting between different groups regarding the measures taken by Italy to prohibit the use of this chat in its country , with the idea of addressing this issue and serving to "promote cooperation and exchange information on the actions carried out by the data protection authorities," they explain.

The Spanish Agency supports the development and implementation of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, but understands that "global processing operations that may have a significant impact on people's rights require coordinated decisions at a European level," says the AEPD.
